Urge the WMATA to adopt additional security measures to ensure the safety of metro riders

Created by S.G. on March 30, 2016

The D.C. Metrorail is one of the busiest transit systems in the US. Commuters, tourists and even politicians use it to travel though D.C. and other cities that surround it. However there been concerns about the recent rise in crime in metrorails that include theft, assault, and homicide. While it's nearly impossible to track down every crime we believe that it can be reduced by having an increase police presence inside the metrorails. This can increase the first response and reassure the metro riders of their safety and protection. However the WMATA disagrees with this position and wants to wait for the crime statistics to increase. While you don't have the power to implement these measures you have the the power to influence the WMATA to adopt these security measures.
