We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Urgent strategy change needed regarding the war on drugs.

Created by T.P. on September 03, 2016

How many dollars have been spent keeping drug offenders locked up? How many dollars have been spent fighting drugs? TOO MUCH. For every supposed "win" in this war, several new dangerous synthetic drugs based on research chemicals get thrown into the market. We need to stop the madness now. I call upon our lawmakers to re-strategize this war. Primarily by focusing on these initiatives:
1. Legalize Marijuana
a. It's a plant and will never go away
b. safer than legal drugs and prohibition leads to dangerous synthetics
2. Don't incarcerate non-violent drug users.
3. Spend more on education, prevention, and rehab. Spend less on the overall "fight" that we'll never win. I see they want Kratom on Schedule 1. i hate Kratom but making it illegal will no doubt worsen opiate abuse.
