Freedom of speech thou cruel at times is a right given to American’s by our Constitution. In 1996 the Communications Decency Act was enacted Section 230 of this law has been abused by many bloggers in the form of cyber harassment/bullying to attempt blackmail. No one wants to take away a blogger’s freedom of speech but to put the word DECENCY and rule of law into our increasing social media. To protect individuals from blogger abuse without curtailing a bloggers right to free speech. Therefore, I call upon the Federal government to come up with a “Blogger’s Code of Ethics and Conduct” that protect individuals from blogger abuses.
