Urgently Respond to Petition Submitted May 1 to Secure Release of U.S.M.C. Sgt. Tahmooressi From Mexican Prison.

An earlier petition was submitted on May 1, 2014 requesting President Obama get involved in securing the release of Sgt. Tahmooressi from a Mexican prison. Prior to the deadline of May 31 to obtain 100,000 signatures, the petition had reached 131,663. President Obama has ignored this petition while Sgt. Tahmorressi sits unaided in a Mexican prison. This man served our country honorably and the failure to make his release a priority is shameful. President Obama is commander-in-chief, yet refuses to acknowledge a veteran wrongfully imprisoned. Please act and don't let Sgt. Tahmorressi spend another day in prison.
