Bullying/mobbing of Asian Feds (aptly described as the ‘forgotten minority’) in the Federal workplace continues unabated. Often the mobbing and bullying is initiated by supervisors who encourage other employees to join. Timely reporting does not result in protection or safety. Instead it only exacerbates the bullying. If they inform management, they are ostracized, penalized and labeled as trouble makers. For example the Houston, HUD Field Office has 65 employees of which only 1 is Asian Pacific. She is mercilessly bullied, mobbed, harassed and traumatized with intent to be run off. Non-Asian Pacific employees are not meted similar treatment. Though a proven productive employee she is accused of substandard work and shamed for being culturally different from other federal employees.
