Urging Improvement In Quality Housing Programs and Funding For Low-Income Families

Our quality of life is under attack, with a spiraling economy, loss of jobs and homes, the faces of poverty and homelessness has changed, instead of the single man or woman struggling with mental illness, drug addiction or other ailments finding solace in the streets, it has now changed to families, either two parented households or single parented families. Do our children have to suffer? There has been no additional funding invested in housing, section 8 and housing subsidy lists are overflowing, shelters have no room and families are being split apart.
