Created by J.B. on September 30, 2016

Each day more and more black people are connecting to a part of our roots & our culture by external expressions. In efforts to love ourselves we've slowly, but consistently began to distance ourselves from unnatural haircare products. Perm sales have gone down 26% and still declining. It's projected by 2019 that sales will decrease by 45%. In 2008 Mintel Beauty company brought in $206 million due to relaxer sales. By 2019 they project a major decrease, bringing in $113 million.Black haircare is a monstrous business that accounts for $774 MILLION in sales & that doesn't include general market brands, weaves, extensions, wigs, independent beauty supply stores, distributors, e-commerce, styling tools and appliances. If all Were considered, Sales skyrocket to $500 BILLION, "Half A TRILLION!"
