Students who obtain bachelor's degree in the US especially in STEM field are entitled to work for 29 months through OPT but it seems like that part is completely neglected. A lot of students even require an internship to graduate. These students have far better communication and team skills than the ones who spent just a year or more to get their masters. A lot of times we are preferred by the employers rather than someone who holds a better degree. Most of the undergraduate students participate in research and various other activities but that is never taken into account. In fact a lot of us even take graduate level classes and even write a thesis.
What does this really mean? Is US bachelor's not as good as US master's degree or we should only come here to pursue advanced degrees?
