Every US Citizen child is entitled to equal protection under the law. As such, all US Citizen children should be afforded the right to petition for their parents to remain in the US, for the benefit of the child, to care for the child.
This request is based on a fundamental belief that all children born in America have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness within the borders of the United States. No child should be compelled to forfeit his birthrights to the American Dream, nor be forced to live a deprived life in foreign soil.
Today, the Immigration Nationality Act permits a US Citizen to petition his parents but only after reaching the age of 21. This is nonsensical because a child is in need of his parents' care when he is a child. Not when he reaches adulthood.
