U.S. Congress: Raise the Federally Mandated Minimum Wage

Created by V.G. on December 06, 2016

Over the past few decades, the cost of living has been consistently increasing, and the minimum wage has not been keeping up. As a result, the minimum wage is often not enough to support the average individual or family, driving them into poverty and homelessness. This is unacceptable, as all workers deserve to be financially stable enough to be able to pay all necessary expenses. Raising the minimum wage would decrease poverty and homelessness and help spur the economy, all at minimal cost to consumers. No one should have to worry about whether they'll be able to afford food or rent because their job pays them far less than what they deserve.
