A person should never be forced by its government to go against his/her conscience to kill another human being. Military training, either in a combative or humanitarian capacity, should be the mandatory duty of every capable young adult citizen. Our country would always have a vast pool of young people ready to serve their country on the battlefield if necessary. A plan for military action would be approved of by the Congress and/or President and those who received their mandatory training would be allowed to participate if their consciences so led them. If the government could not convince a sufficient number of trained young people to go into a specific action, that military action, would de facto be vetoed by the people called on to serve.
