The U.S. government should pass a law adding protection for people of all sexual orientations to all have equal rights.

The government should pass a law adding sexual orientation to the protected classes of civil rights, every American should have equal rights afforded them all by the U.S. Constitution.
Equality is a right for every American citizen, not just some. We are one nation, one people, one set of laws, rules, regulations, rights, all protected by laws of the U.S. Government, who should not discriminate, nor allow discrimination of any American.
All different races, sexes, ages, sexual orientations, nationalities, all fought for the freedoms we as a nation, the land of the free, get to enjoy.
The least the government could do is to put a stop to discrimination and unequal rights because of sexual oreintation and protect all sexual orientations and give equal rights as Americans.
