Based on a USA Today column by DeWayne Wickham, I propose that 100% of Central American Border Children be relocated to Guantanamo. Aside from the prisons, the 45 square mile base has been used in the past to house refugees from Haiti. The base has recreational, exercise and food facilities that could accommodate their needs in a humane manner. By sending them to Guantanamo, we keep them all in one place efficiently. We can assure their due process rights under the current law; there are facilities there for judicial proceedings. We also put world pressure on Central American leaders to stop the immigration, also sending the message to future children that there is no promise of being relocated on American mainland.
