In an effort to save money and protect American borders I propose using military training bases working in conjuction with the department of immigration. Training bases could provide intro level soldiers with training prior to being deployed for active duty. Deploy the soldiers in addition to the current immigration officers who now patrol US border. Use some of that military technology to help keep our borders safe. Border patrol officers could use the help and the new soldiers would benefit from the training.
