The State Department has unexpectedly revised its existing October Visa Bulletin, moving back the “Date for Filing” cutoff dates for employment-based immigrants to be eligible to file adjustment of status applications for Chinese and Indian nationals in the EB-2 category and for Philippine nationals in the EB-3 category. This unexpected last minute revision caused very large number of legal employment based immigrants and their families experience both financial loss (document expenses, costly medical reports, legal fees etc.) and huge disappointment to the credibility of the government.
The original October Visa Bulletin was part of the White House initiative to modernize the legal immigration system.
We petition that USCIS and DOS revert to the original October Visa Bulletin
