Obama, in his dual qualities as the president and a constitutional scholar, should invoke the 14th amendment to declare any debt limits unconstitutional and eliminate the catastrophic risk of U.S. default, which would cause another Great Recession.

Full text of the 14th amendment section 4:

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."
