Use 2014 White House Correspondent's Dinner to honor wounded service members. Reporters to partner with warriors.

Created by K.C. on April 27, 2013

The White House Correspondent's Dinner honors those who report on the events of the nation.

In 2014 let's shift the focus to those who protect freedom of the press, freedom from tyranny, and the projection of the Presidents policies around the world.

Let's make a special effort to remember those wounded warriors who have come home horribly disfigured, with amputations, burns, blind, and shell shocked. Let's bring them out from the shame and shadows of their disfigurement and show our love and appreciation for them as correspondents, politicians, citizens and families.

The recommendation of this petition would be for each attending correspondent to accompany a wounded warrior and write their story, and then compile a book after the event ends.
