Recently, Dems in the Senate shot down Senator Feinstein's Ban on Assault Weapons. Though the ban on assault weapons doesn't stop general crime, one of the bans is particularly effective in curbing mass shootings (MS), and that is a ban on High Capacity Magazines.
Taking a look at our last 38 MSs... some notes...
*avg # of people shot during a ms w/ HCMs is 24 people.
*avg # of people shot during a ms wo/ HCMs is 11 people
*You are 2.1 Xs more likely to be shot at a mass shooting where HCMs are involved
In several cases, the killers were tackled while reloading. Had they been forced to reload sooner, they might have been tackled sooner.
