The best way to give people access to clean water is to dig wells for them. Properly dug and cared for wells can give clean water to an entire village. It’s not just about digging the well. It’s also important to educate people on properly managing the well.
There are already US soldiers digging wells in Djibouti. They have been building wells for the local nationals. I propose expanding the program to build more wells in more countries. It could help a lot of people and would help stabilize some of the less than stable areas.
These soldiers already have the training and the equipment to make this happen. Lets use this equipment and training in the best ways possible.
