The Galass-Steagall Act was legislated during the 1930s and was designed to create a "firewall" between community and commercial banks. The Act was repealed during the 1990s and has led to the financial disasters that have befallen this country in recent years. It's time to re-enact Glass-Steagall and a strong push by the Obama Administration in that direction - with our support - can help in that effort.
