The use of cellphones while operating a vehicle should be banned nationwide

The use of cellphones while driving is beyond dangerous, not only is it reckless, but it can and has caused death throughout the nation. I am tired of see people operate a vehicle and texting or even just glancing at their phones, even at a stop light. Even for a second it becomes a hazard, at times I've even seen folks with a child in the back seat while they're attending to their phone instead of paying attention to the road with their child in the back. It needs to end, I don't want to wake up one day in a hospital or even worst, found dead on the side of the road because someone needed to text their friend about what they wanted to eat for the night.
