We sign this petition to request serious consideration, to utilize the massive computing power of the United States Federal Government to provide identity protection for all American Citizens from birth till forever. The amount of fraud involving Identity Theft that would be prevented would more than cover the cost of implementation. There should be absolutely zero consideration for any entity that would argue that this (constitutional amendment?) service not be provided to all Americans regardless of wealth or status. Almost all Identity Theft begins with the Social Security number the Federal Government provides its citizens on a little blue card, with the instructions… “Do Not Give Your Number Out.”
Nobody should profit from Identity Protection involving SSN's.
