Given that ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) or ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) are acronyms, the US government should be using the Arabic acronym "Daesh" which is both more accurate and which terrorists find offensive. The US government should not legitimize these terrorists by referring to them as a "state."
