DARPA has financed the testing of a virus eliminating blood cleansing device. It proved to be worth while in tests on HCV patients in a world class hospital. This is a lot less expensive and quicker than the $1K a pill a day Gilead treatment.
Lets do the right thing and help those with a 90% chance of dying in Africa by filtering the disease out of their blood.
