As the threats from the Islamic State and Al Qaeda specifically mention New York City, it is a scary time to live and do business there. The threats are real and Mayor Bill DiBlasio has no experience with the type of security needed or in protecting NYC. The man he chose as police commissioner, William Bratton, does have experience. However, he has not held the position he has now for almost 20 years. It was a very different city back then and he left under scandals.
Only the Department of Homeland Security has the resources available to protect NYC. President Obama, please be more active in protecting NYC and other major target cities.
