use Executive Authority and Separation of Powers to prevent foreign terrorists taking advantage of lax American gun laws

The President of the United States as Commander in Chief has the right and the duty to protect its citizens from foreign aggression. The events of San Bernardino reveal how foreign actors can take advantage of lax US gun laws to present a clear and present danger. Executive action to constrain domestic access to fire-arms and ammunition with the aim of protecting the US and its citizens from foreign terrorism is with in the prerogative of the Executive Branch and cannot be countered by other branches of government without a constitutional crisis in light of clear separation of powers.
