Term limits for all members of congress are a crucial component of a truly representative government. Serving in a political office should be just that: serving. Servitude is a temporary status, and consequently so should be one's time in congress. The gridlock and dysfunction that permeates our system is driven by the fact that the same people are in the system year after year.
