Our world is filled with unrest. Revolutions in Egypt and Syria have led to thousands of deaths, Iran is developing a nuclear weapon, and Al Qaeda continues to kill American soldiers. As a major power that many countries look to for help, the United States cannot cut back on funding for our military. We need to cut spending on unnecessary domestic programs and use the additional money to keep our military forces equipped with the best equipment possible because without them we would not have freedom. Additionally, America needs to step into these areas of unrest and help establish democracy with free elections.
