If the elected representatives of the United States [Senate and House of Representatives] allow the Federal Budget to default then their pay-rate shale be immediately reduced to the Federal Minimum Wage on an hourly pay-scale; Furthermore this rate is frozen until the next budget review and suspended until a national vote by the American People accepts or declines the reinstatement/modification of wadges and salaries.
If they are willing to hold us hostage then they should be prepared to sacrifice their "modest" pay to help stabilize our bleeding economy.
