We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Use farm subsidy money to buy crops for food banks and world aid instead of paying farmers to not farm their land.

Created by R.N. on October 06, 2016

Current US farm aid policy uses funds to pay farmers to leave fields fallow. This reduces supply and increases food costs to maintain a "liveable" wage for farmers.
While this may be necessary there are people starving in the world. Instead of paying farmers not to grow crops this money should be used to buy crops to help with world hunger, especially with regards to local food banks.
