Everyday, US citizens w/ no known identity or next of kin die. Their bodies, becoming property of the "state", go through a process that ends when their remains are placed in a common group grave after cremation. These "potters fields" use common burial techniques which are known for not being environmentally friendly. If the dead were buried using technologies like the BIOS urn (which uses the ashes of the dead to fertilize new trees) the area they occupied would become more healthy, beautiful spaces. They would not only help the environment and it's caretakers, but leave a legacy and standard for the living to reflect upon. The idea that one's departing act will forever aid those who are still living is powerful. It gives meaning and purpose to lives long forgotten or unknown.
