Attempts to control health care costs based on market based medicine has failed for the past 50 years. The result is a health care system that spends 50% more per capita than any other in the world, leaves 50 million uninsured, and is immensely bureaucratic.
We cannot balance the budget, bring back jobs in America, control our pension programs, and give our kids a better future if we cannot control health care costs. Slashing Medicare and Medicaid and leaving the for profit private health insurance and drug industry alone is the wrong prescription.
President Obama can brilliantly defend Medicare for All and we need his voice in this cause.
