use HUD to enforce the fair housing act of 1968 to end economic and racial housing segregation.

Created by C.R. on August 23, 2014

In the 50 years since the American civil rights movement, racism, both casual and institutional, remains an embedded feature of American life. We believe that in order to understand each other, people need to live together.

In our view, there is no time like the present to complete the implementation of the landmark Fair Housing Act of 1968. We ask President Obama to direct the HUD to draft and enforce rules requiring that all new housing developments provide substantially for people of a range incomes all the way down to very low income people, before granting funds for sewer, water, and roads projects for those neighborhood's development.
