to use its powers of executive office to initiate Article 5 of the US Constitution to rewrite the 2nd Amendment.

As the 2nd Amendment was poorly, and ambiguously written, and is out of date with both our evolved and changed society and culture since it was first adopted with respect the "Right to bear arms," we the undersigned hereby petition the executive branch to solicit the congress to exercise Article 5 in order to enact an amendment for consideration and ratification which more clearly explains the People's rights to bear arms and which recognizes technological advances in firearms and social conventions in the last 200 years.
