Use market power and human compassion instead of "price fixing" to garnish an equitable wage for all.

Created by A.K. on February 25, 2014

Price-fixing is never a good option.

President Obama wishes to lead Congress to increase this labor price fix to $10.10/hr. Though we ought support efforts to increase the average wage for our lower income citizens, this is not the honorable way to do it. So we call for alternative legislation.

Instead of fixing the price for labor, enact legislation that requires companies to report on the packages of goods they sell in this country what their "average production employee's wage" is. Then consumers will know at the register which purchases service our poor and which purchases promote unjust wages.

Let the heart of American consumers rather than a mandate of its governing body fight this injustice. Poverty will not disappear by a force of will; only our love of neighbor can do that.
