Use the money planned for a war with Syria on helping the American people who are in need

There is constant death and destruction everyday in our world and going to war is a step in the wrong direction against not only human suffering but our fragile planets suffering as well. Imagine the money spent on war going toward renewable sources of energy, ending world hunger, social security... the possibilities are endless.
Our President asked us for our vote so that he may represent our country but since then our President has not asked for our opinion on how he should represent it. This is not his country this is ours and WE should decide on if we go to war and WE should decide on how OUR money is spent.
