Factually, America is presently facing two crises: one due to the unprecedented political gridlock in Congress and the second caused by the Great Rcession, a
downturn of magnitudes not seen since the Great Depression of the early 1930s. In many respects, America can be seen as a disaster area with none of the usual instititional help in sight.
The 14 million trapped in unemployment, are victims; bearing the heaviest burden; are abandoned by Congress, the traditional rescue apparatus; and must be otherwise rescued.
We need to band tother, and formulate a new institution, to create jobs,
Our efforts will achieve the noble task of helping our fellowmen; but they will also accomplish the honorable twin objective of economic growth, with a good prospect of having our prosperity restored..
