The purpose of this petition is to not only advocate for the removal of oil subsidies, but to advocate for the re-appropriation of oil subsidy funds toward the process scientific peer-review. By doing this, the process of scientific peer-review would be wrought free of hands that might seek to influence or inject bias into science. E.g. oil companies, cigarette manufacturers, financial institutions, etc. If you believe that the scientific process should receive additional funding in this country, then you should sign this petition.
