Use one penny from the gas tax, that is placed on each gallon of gas, to pay down the deficit

By using one penny from the gas tax to pay down the debt the country could have all debt that is presently owed paid off within the next ten years. What this would mean, is that every time a gallon of gas is sold a penny from the gas tax would be used to pay towards our debt. All debt could be paid within ten years at the rate of consumption used in the United States
