Sony has been cowed into not releasing the movie "The Interview" because of threats of retaliation by cyber-terrorists connected to the dictatorship in North Korea. Sony has declared that they will not release the movie in any form, thus making it a dead letter. The threat and the response from Sony and many theater chains has done harm to the creative rights that are not only American, but human. By acquiring the movie rights and paying Sony just compensation (which for an abandoned movie written and directed by Seth Rogen could probably be funded by loose change found in the couch cushions of the Oval Office), we can undo the damage done, and America can go back to choosing which movies it will watch.
