This is a second petition to pardon Edward Snowden. The first was rejected by the Administration. Perhaps, as President Obama prepares to exit the White House, he will reconsider.
Article Two (Section 2, Clause 1) of the United States Constitution allows the President to grant pardons. A presidential pardon may be granted at any time, before a conviction or even before a formal charge is filed.
Edward Snowden may have broken laws, but he has elevated our nation by his actions. He should be rewarded for his moral courage by being allowed to come home as a free man. Mr. Obama, do the right thing!
