Use Presidential Vetoes to Stop Funding of NSA / DHS / FBI Surveillance - Use Funds for Jobs, Education

Created by C.G. on June 22, 2013

The amount of money that government spends warrantlessly gathering, storing, and sifting through data on its own citizens -- which happens to be in direct violation of our Constitution -- is not only wrongheaded and insane, it is budgetary idiocy.
Any budget proposal received at the President's desk with funds which could be used for warrantless surveillance of US persons should be vetoed by the President, no matter what the votes are for the bill in Congress. If a veto message is included, it should stipulate that any funding for warrantless surveillance of US persons (intelligence, NDAA, sequester, or other bill which could possibly include funding for warrantless surveillance of the citizenry) be removed from the NSA, DHS, or FBI, and be redirected to Jobs and Education.
