If Congress and the President cannot pass legislation regarding the current child immigrant crisis then the President should use his Constitutional powers to call Congress into session to address this specific issue. Lincoln used this power at the beginning of the Civil War. This would also require the President to stay in D.C. and work with both parties on a compromise (per legislative prerogative) and not just expect the House to pass the legislation he has proposed. We need the President to lead and we owe the immigrants a policy that properly and humanely addresses the issue.
