Use the proposed aid to the Ukraine and use it for our own citizens instead of cutting our benefits

With all due respect Mr. President and Members of Congress. Why are we are giving $1 Billion in aid to the Ukraine and the promise that " help is on the way" When is help going to be on the way to us? The Government is already saying they are cutting Veterans benefits and social security. Food Stamps have already been cut because Congress claims a lack of funding. Yet we can afford to give away $1 Billion Dollars? That money would keep food stamps from being cut as well as veterans benefits. Please Mr. President. Before we offer aid to other countries we should have our own people taken care of first. to deprive us of our own needs and taking care of someone else instead is clearly sending the message that the Govt. doesn't make American needs a priority. Please don't do this.
