As a minister for 37 years, I have found that violence ending in death occurs because of the mental state or rage of an individual and not a firearm. I have had members clubbed, cut with knives and beaten. Death by those that are mentally unbalanced against others occurs because the laws governing commitment into an insitution where they are forced to take medications take to long someone or more than one dies. The law needs to be changed to assure the person will be committed while evaluations are being completed by at least two doctors and the commitment should occur the moment it is requested. I have watched at one of Kentucky's mental institutions police office bring a person they feel needs immediate commitment, but due to the rules followed the insitution refuses to admit him/her
