use some of the record breaking bank settlement funds to help underwater home owners move on with their lives.

Created by A.W. on May 21, 2014

There are more than 9.7 million homeowners in America who have a mortgage on their primary residence that is higher than the value of their homes. As housing values continue to normalize, new homebuilders are ramping up production of new homes, which are being sold for less than homes that were purchased during the previous housing boom of the last decade.

Programs were created to keep homeowners who were at risk of foreclosure in their homes, sometimes mortgages in this situation were settled at pennies on the dollar; while other Americans whom were responsible and never missed a payment were left imprisoned in homes they cannot escape.

There have been record penalties paid out by financial institutions to settle civil actions. Please use those funds to help the rest of America.
