Created by R.M. on December 28, 2012

“ He shall from time to time give to Congress information of the State of the Union and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient. ”

— Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution

While the State of the Union address has traditionally been held once a year in January or February, the Constitution states no frequency or time frame. This power could be used to assemble Congress and recommend necessary and expedient action on the so called Fiscal Cliff.
