This petition is to require the DOD(Department of Defense) to create a targeting algorithm for SAM sites(surface to air) missile systems. That would target and ultimately disrupt and or dissipate a tornado, saving thousands of lives every year. By launching a missile at the tornado and exploding it within the eye of the storm, enough force and heat could be created to disrupt or destroy a tornado.
"Why has this has not been done yet?"
"Have we even tried?"
"If we had this those school kids in Oklahoma would have had a chance. We owe it to those kids and their parents to at least try it."
