A congress of 500 individuals cannot fairly represent a nation of over 300 million citizens. Our founding fathers had a great idea when they first established Congress, but even they could not foresee the technology that could make Congress a thing of the past. Every person has access to a computer: at home, school, university, work, town hall, or library. Use technology to float hot topics to the forefront and to develop, survey, and pass national referendums on new laws. Congress does not "run" the government. Congress can only pass new laws, and does that poorly. Civil servants run the day-to-day affairs of government. We have the administration to administer our laws, the courts to adjudicate them, and CITIZENS who can govern themselves by approving or disapproving new laws.
