use unemployment insurance benefits to pay for training in the manufacturing and distribution of green energy products.

Created by W.L. on January 29, 2013

Instead of perpetuating the cycle of poverty by relying on unemployment insurance benefits, funds should be gradually reallocated from long-term unemployment accounts into the training of manufacturing and distributing green energy products. Solar panels and wind turbines are tools to use our natural resources without harming our environment further. By creating more panels and turbines, more jobs would be created to produce and install these tools. There are many large manufacturing buildings sitting empty in urban cities; those buildings can be repurposed for the manufacturing of solar panels and wind turbines. This not only helps the people in urban cities, but the country as a whole. Reliance on fossil fuels is at an alarming high. There is still time to change direction.
